Twin County Junior Wrestling Tournament
February 27, 2000 at High School

The Twin county Junior Wrestling League's District Wrestling Tournament was held Sunday, February 27, at the Hasbrouck Heights Jr./Sr. High School Gym.  This tournament was run by the Hasbrouck Heights Recreation Department. 

Andrew Feintuch, Director of Recreation, was the tournament director, co-chaired by Doug Lanzo and assisted by numerous volunteer parents.  This was the 35th wrestling tournament run by Mr. Feintuch, as the tournament director. 

The tournament consisted of the following recreation teams:  Hasbrouck Heights, Hackensack, Wood-Ridge, Lodi, Cresskill, Saddlebrook and Ridgefield. The teams comprised of children approximately 7 -14 years of age who wrestled in their respective weight class and age division.

The recreation teams comprised of children 7 thru 14 years of age, competed in their respective weight classes and represented: Hasbrouck Heights, Ridgefield, Hackensack, Rutherford, Elmwood Park, Tenafly and Saddle Brook.  District tournaments were also held at Elmwood Park, Emerson, West Milford and East Rutherford.

Customized medals were awarded First, Second and Third place winners.

The first two place finishers in each weight class advanced to the league's Regional Tournament to be held the following week.

Customized Tournament 2000 shirts as well as hot and cold food and beverages were available.
