Scouts Begin Food Drive
Helps Kiwanis Rainbow Drive Too!

Scouts To Distribute Bags For Food And Appeal Letters

The Boy/Cub Scouts of Hasbrouck Heights will be visiting all homes in our community on Saturday, April 8th. They will distribute bags for their annual "Scouting for Food Drive." Residents are asked to fill the bags with non-perishable food items, no items in glass containers please. The bags will be picked up on the following Saturday, April 15th. On that day, residents are asked to place the bags outside their front door for pick up.

Along with the bags, the scouts will be distributing an appeal letter from the Kiwanis Club for the annual "Rainbow Summer Day Program." This program sponsored by the ARC of Bergen and Passaic County affords developmentally disabled youngsters from Hasbrouck Heights the opportunity to attend a special six-week program structured to meet their individual needs. Residents are asked to mail their donations back in the envelope provided. Do not place your donation in the food bags or give the envelope to the scouts.

Remember that every donation of food and every contribution to the Rainbow Fund are important and no offering is to small.

Thank you for visiting our hometown.  Come back soon!
