Victorian Tea

Saturday, May 18 from noon to 2 p.m. at Neiman Marcus' Rotunda Room at the Garden State Plaza.
Menu included scones with Devonshire cream and lemon curd, miniature chicken salad profitteroles, finger sandwiches, hand-dipped chocolate covered strawberries and assorted pastries --- accompanied by a custom blend of John Harney teas.  A brief talk about "The Traditional Victorian Tea; Etiquette, Food and Customs of a Bygone Era" was presented by Ms. Kim Hendrickson.  Door prizes. Benefit Friends of the Library. Tickets were $25 per person.

The Victorians not only created tea, as we know it today, but they had a strict ettiquette, foods and customs that were followed. Kim's talk walked us througth the historical trivia to paint a clear and entertaining picture of "having tea". [Contact Ms. Kim Hendrickson]
