Tree Lighting Ceremony 2002

Annual tree lighting ceremony was held at the snow covered Circle, 5 p.m., December 8, 2002 and was sponsored by Mayor's Community Celebrations Committee.

Preceding the Tree Lighting, the [HH Anti-Drug Council] sponsored a "Stroll Along the Boulevard" with all participants walking with a light along the Boulevard towards the Circle to partake in the lighting of the tree.

Dorothy Bernice opened the program. The Mayor welcomed the community. Fr. Ray provided a brief prayer. The High School provided chorale and musical accompaniment as those assembled sang Christmas songs. Santa was available for photos and gave candy canes to the children. Plenty of hot cocoa and snacks were provided. Music & PA system were provided by "DJ Vito of Fantasy Sounds". Doug Lanzo was the chairperson.
