Snow Storm

Snow began falling at about 8 a.m. on Sunday morning, December 14, 2003, blanketing the area with about 5 inches of snow.  By the end of the day, the snow had changed to rain which lasted into the night.  Although the rain melted much of the snow, Monday morning roads saw treacherous black-ice, sidewalks that had been shoveled were slippery, and car windshields that were cleaned off the night before, were coated with a layer of ice.
