Silver Jubilee On Sunday, March 19, 2005 Rev. Fr. Rodrigo F. San Pedro celebrated his Silver Jubilee. A mass was held in the Corpus Christi Chapel followed by refreshments in the Corpus Christi School cafeteria. Members from the Hasbrouck Heights Council of Churches attended. The program began with welcome remarks by Michelle Murillo, Principal, Corpus Christi Parochial School. A choral rendition by Philharmonics followed. There were greetings from the Rosary Society -- Eileen Jeffas of Our Lady of Mercy and Dorothy Bernice of Corpus Christi. Special dance numbers were provided by Ofie & Sev Baal of Our Lady of Mercy and the Philippine Folk Dance. Jessie Broderick, Our Lady of Mercy Seniors, and Hasbrouck Heights Mayor Ronald R. Jones provided comments. The Hasbrouck Heights Leisure Club did line dancing. Greetings were made by Rev. Jack Cryan, Pastor, Our Lady of Mercy and Rev. Lewis Papera, Pastor, Corpus Christi Church. The program concluded with remarks by Fr. Rod. Fr. Rod was born on January 28, 1947 in Bocaue, Bulacan, Philippines. He was ordained on March 1, 1980 at St. Ferdinand Cathedral, Lucenna City, Philippines by Cardinal Jose T. Sanchez. He attended Luzonian University (Lucena City, Philippines) were he earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce (Accounting). He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Carmel Seminary, Sariaya, Quezon, Philippines. He studied Theology at San Jose Major Seminary in Quezon City, Philippines. At the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome, Italy he received his Licentiate in Sacred Theology and Doctorate in Sacred Theology. Some of his assignments from presbyterial ordination until the present have included: Parochial Vicar, Professor, Procurator, Assisting Priest, Spiritual Director, Adjunct Priest. He has served as Chaplain at Legion of Mary, Maryhill Academy, Sacred Heart College and Missionary Catechist of St. Therese in Tayabas, Quezon. ###
